Multiplication Distributivity of Proper and Improper Intervals
The arithmetic on an extended set of proper and improper intervals presents algebraic completion of the conventional interval arithmetic allowing thus efficient solution of some interval algebraic problems. In this paper we summarize and present all distributive relations, known by now, on multiplication and addition of generalized (proper and improper) intervals.
متن کاملTorsion theories and radicals in normal categories
We introduce a relativized notion of (semi)normalcy for categories that come equipped with a proper stable factorization system, and we use radicals and normal closure operators in order to study torsion theories in such categories. Our results generalize and complement recent studies in the realm of semi-abelian and, in part, homological categories. In particular, we characterize both, torsion...
متن کاملWeak Distributivity implying Distributivity
Let B be a complete Boolean algebra. We show that if λ is an infinite cardinal and B is weakly (λ, ω)-distributive, then B is (λ, 2)-distributive. Using a similar argument, we show that if κ is a weakly compact cardinal such that B is weakly (2, κ)distributive and B is (α, 2)-distributive for each α < κ, then B is (κ, 2)-distributive.
متن کاملThe Lattice of Fuzzy Intervals and Sufficient Conditions for its Distributivity
Given a reference lattice (X,⊑), we define fuzzy intervals to be the fuzzy sets such that their pcuts are crisp closed intervals of (X,⊑). We show that: given a complete lattice (X,⊑) the collection of its fuzzy intervals is a complete lattice. Furthermore we show that: if (X,⊑) is completely distributive then the lattice of its fuzzy intervals is distributive.
متن کاملThe secondary radicals of submodules
Let $R$ be a commutative ring with identity and let $M$ be an $R$-module. In this paper, we will introduce the secondary radical of a submodule $N$ of $M$ as the sum of all secondary submodules of $M$ contained in $N$, denoted by $sec^*(N)$, and explore the related properties. We will show that this class of modules contains the family of second radicals properly and can be regarded as a dual o...
